Work Study Trail Crew
Position Description
BSU's Fitness Center is available to currently enrolled BSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The Trail Crew will perform physically demanding outdoor trail maintenance in wet, cold, hot and/or dirty conditions.
Responsibilities include:
  • Sawing
  • Digging
  • Raking
  • Lifting
  • Dragging
  • Pruning
  • Mowing grass
  • Other duties as assigned

Eligibility requirements:
  • Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Must have Work Study award in your financial aid package

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work outdoors in any season/weather conditions
  • Must have suitable clothing including long sleeved shirts, work pants, and protective boots
  • Experience in trail maintenance or landscaping
  • Knowledge of the use of trail tools such as loppers, shovels, handsaws, and cutter mattocks preferred.

Physical Demands
This position may require strenuous physical labor outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
