Job Summary:
Traffic Tech is recognized as an industry leader and the logistics partner to many highly recognizable international brands. The Analytics Engineer role involves working with internal customers to understand their data needs, developing data pipelines, and maintaining data quality to support business operations.
Responsibilities:
• Work with internal customers to understand their data needs, and translate into technical requirements;
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract or ingest new data sources to a data warehouse, using Data Vault methodology;
• Build and maintain PBI semantic models that centralize business logic and simplify reporting;
• Monitor the availability and integrity of the data warehouse, and address accordingly;
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality;
• Contribute to and enforce internal development standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of experience in a data analytics or data engineering role
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with dbt
• Experience with DAX
• Experience with PBI semantic models
• Experience with dimensional modeling (Kimball)
• Experience with Git
• Actively stays up to date with latest technologies
• Leverages AI tools to increase productivity
• Clear and concise communication skills
Preferred:
• Familiarity with or interest in Data Vault 2.0 methodology
• Experience with Cloud SQL platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, …)
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with PBI report building
• Knowledge of transportation and/or logistics
