Job description

Street Maintenance Worker – Moscow

The Street Department is hiring! This full-time position offers hands-on training, opportunities for advancement, and a rewarding career serving the community. Employees are responsible for maintaining and repairing city streets, traffic signs, and traffic control systems, and a wide range of other tasks, while helping ensure safe and efficient transportation throughout the city. Duties include operating a variety of equipment, ranging from heavy-duty vehicles and machinery to hand and power tools.

This position’s responsibilities range from routine street maintenance and construction projects to emergency response during weather events and other public safety situations. Team members play an important role in maintaining the City's infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

Requirements: 

  • Graduation from high school or GED
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Apprentice: $23.43/hr
  • Journey: $25.30/hr
