TITLE: Traffic Modeling or Missile Tracking System Engineer with ACTIVE Secret Security Clearanceย 

RATE RANGE: $75/hr - $92/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO-an hour worked is an hour paid)

CLEARANCE: Active Secret -Top Secret, obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

LOCATION: Hybrid in Scottsdale AZ, Huntsville AL, Grand Forks, ND or Chantilly, VA (no relocation package)

DURATION: 12+ monthsย

Geologics is currently seeking a Traffic Modeling or Missile Tracking System Engineerย

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET with Polygraph eligibility is required at time of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIES ย 

As a Traffic Modeling System Engineer or Missile Tracking System Engineer, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). You will be part of an elite team providing the evolution, expansion, integration, testing and maintenance of the ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test and checkout capabilities and infrastructure management, including all development, systems engineering, integration, testing, maintenance, and site support.ย 

Traffic Modelingย Key Responsibilities

Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into modeling of the traffic data flow from a satellite constellation to the ground network

Pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and satellite services to track missiles

Analysis of missile tracking data to validate the traffic model

Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Traffic Modeling Technical Skills

Prefer recent modeling of communication data, preferably using satellite constellations and ground networks

Prefer recent Satellite to Ground RF communication protocol experience, end to end packet prioritization and routing, or traffic modeling experience

Missile Tracking Key Responsibilities

Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and system design behaviors

Pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads capabilities to track missiles

Analysis and fusion of missile tracking data provided by satellite to the ground for processing and rapidly providing and disseminating the information

Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Missile Tracking Technical Skills

Prefer recent designing and developing systems that can solve complex problems using algorithms

Prefer recent algorithm development and tuning for specific mission parameters

ย 

Bonus Skills You Might Bring

Recent experience with missile tracking systems design and architecture, and sensor fusion techniques

Recent experience designing logic, assessing and scheduling satellite services to track missiles

Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment

Experience with image processing (collection, handling, storing, and analysis)

Research oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation's security

Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. ย  ย
