Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Traffic Signal Project Manager in our Transportation business unit in Salt Lake City, UT. This position requires 10+ years of experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Interact and communicate with clients, vendors and staff of all levels
  • Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
  • Track multiple projects simultaneously to keep jobs on schedule and under budget
  • Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
  • Manage traffic signal design and transportation operation projects
  • Prepare and write engineering and other reports
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships
  • Develop business in the Utah region
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience working directly with the Utah Department of Transportation and local municipalities
  • Licensed professional engineer in Utah, preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of traffic signal operations and equipment, ITS, and other traffic control devices and signal systems
  • Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D)
  • Critical thinking and analysis
  • Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license
  • Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. in Civil Engineering

SALARY RANGE:
