Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career in wealth management and increase your investment knowledge? Coldstream Wealth Management is looking for a Portfolio Administrator to support two of our wealth management teams in Bellevue and Kirkland.

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with the team's Portfolio Manager and Associate Portfolio Manager daily and participate in our firm-wide Investment Strategy Group (ISG), which makes investment decisions for Coldstream as a whole. The team has a hybrid environment with members working in office Tuesday through Thursday and allowing work from home Monday and Friday.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Generating and executing daily trade orders and model-based portfolio rebalancing
  • Providing research and analysis to support the portfolio management team in their investment-related decisions
  • Facilitating new client setup in (Tamarac)
  • Supporting Wealth Managers and the portfolio management team on ad hoc projects
  • Participating in ongoing monitoring and reporting regarding private investments
  • Assisting in ongoing due diligence for public markets managers
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding wealth manager investment practices
  • Answering team members' questions related to the rebalancer (Tamarac) and funds' custodian-specific attributes (minimums, fees, restrictions, etc.)
  • Monitoring cash and yield alternatives and communicating best thinking to team
  • Executing model portfolio audits and projects
  • Utilizing Salesforce CRM to communicate and execute requests

  • A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • FINRA Series 65 or willingness to obtain it within the first 12-18 months (Coldstream to cover the cost)
  • 1-2 years of experience as an analyst with an RIA, asset manager, or similar firm; knowledge of private investments is a plus
  • High proficiency with Excel
  • Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people in a professional manner, using proper grammar, tact, courtesy, and good judgment
  • Experience with Bloomberg and/or Morningstar is preferred
  • Experience with CRM software is a plus as is experience with Tamarac or a similar trading platform
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning about investing and financial markets
