Join us as we redefine what's possible in trading, advocate for our customers, and continue our journey toward becoming the world's top retail-focused trading platform in the world.
What you'll do:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Salesforce Administrator to join the NinjaTrader Business Solutions team. You'll own the day-to-day administration and declarative configuration of our Salesforce org, managing users and access, building and maintaining flows, layouts, and list views, keeping our data clean, and resolving the requests that keep the platform running smoothly for teams across the company. You'll partner with analysts, developers, and stakeholders throughout the organization: confirming requirements before you build, delivering clean and well-documented configuration, flagging blockers early, and escalating the ambiguous or complex work with the context others need to move it forward. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their Salesforce career who takes full ownership of their work, follows through reliably, and is eager to master the platform and grow into progressively harder problems.
In this role you will:
  • Administer users, licenses, permission sets, and profiles, making sure the right people have the right access and that changes are made cleanly and on time
  • Build and maintain declarative configuration: Custom Objects, Lightning record pages, page layouts, list views, Flows, and validation rules, with strong attention to detail
  • Work the day-to-day admin request queue, confirming requirements before building, communicating status, and closing the loop with stakeholders
  • Import, export, and maintain data using Data Loader and related tools, supporting data quality and integrity across the org
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that give teams clear visibility into their data
  • Keep the org clean and well-governed, documenting your changes, maintaining ticket hygiene, and following sandbox and deployment practices
  • Diagnose routine issues, ask clarifying questions, and escalate ambiguous or complex problems to analysts and developers with the context they need to help
  • Partner with analysts and developers to turn requirements into sound solutions, contributing to working sessions and flagging risks early
  • Continually grow your platform knowledge, learning the org's data model, security and sharing model, and automation and take on increasingly complex admin work as you do

What you'll need:
  • 1-3 years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, or equivalent platform exposure
  • Working proficiency with the core declarative toolset: users and permission sets, page layouts and record pages, list views, Flows, and validation rules
  • Familiarity with data-management tools such as Data Loader, and comfort with import/export and basic data cleanup
  • A foundational understanding of the Salesforce security model - profiles, permission sets, and record access/visibility
  • Ability to build and maintain basic reports and dashboards
  • Strong attention to detail and a habit of documenting your work so nothing gets dropped
  • Clear communication and a reliable, follow-through-oriented approach; comfortable asking clarifying questions and flagging blockers early
  • A genuine drive to continually learn and grow your Salesforce knowledge and capabilities
  • BA or BS in a related field preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM-201) certification preferred or in progress, not required
  • Familiarity with change management and source control, including testing and deploying through sandboxes, change sets, or DevOps tools such as Gearset, SFDX CLI, or Git, a plus
  • Prior experience with finance or financial markets a plus

Compensation:
The salary range for this role will be $70,000.00 - $91,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 6%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).
Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.
Location:
This role is based in Chicago, IL. We are not open to remote candidates for this role.
Hybrid:
For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. In addition to these weekly remote days, we offer:
  • 20 additional flex remote days annually
  • 5 Company Wide Office-Optional weeks tied to major holidays

Our Core Benefits Include:
  • Generous PTO
  • 7 Paid Holidays Annually + 5 Conditional Holidays Annually
  • 1 Service Day Annually
  • 401k with 3.5% Company Match
  • Paid Parental Bonding Leave
  • Health, Vision, Dental Coverage
  • Life and Disability Insurance Covered 100% by NinjaTrader
