Job description

The Fabrication Operations Manager (Shop Manager) is the linchpin of the business and will serve as the second-in-command in the shop, reporting directly to the owner. This position is structured for six-figure earnings based on your direct participation, team growth, and overall shop output, with no cap on earning capacity! Fabrication Operations Manager Compensation & Benefits:

  • MUST HAVE direct, hands-on slab stone fabrication experience & craftsmanship
  • Must be highly experienced in fabrication, install management, who deeply understands every aspect of the trade.

Fabrication Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all daily shop and field activities, including templating, cutting, polishing, sink fabrication, equipment operation, material handling, installation, repair/warranty, and team member accountability
  • Assign tasks (cost codes) to all shop and field personnel, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
  • Adherence to schedules
  • Implement and enforce stringent quality control protocols, responding to QC requests from team members, approving/denying work based on standards, and providing necessary feedback or retraining.
  • Provide hands-on training to new hires and existing staff across all technical aspects of fabrication and installation, and cross-training.
  • Actively identify and eliminate bottlenecks within the production process, to enhance efficiency and output.
  • Lead the shop floor's adoption and effective utilization of the Workforce Optimization Platform ensuring smooth transition from manual to automated processes.
  • Act as the critical communication link between shop operations and the office, collaborating on scheduling, client communications, custom project pricing, and addressing workflow challenges.
  • Responsible for ensuring 100% daily task completion and for rectifying any quality issues that may arise
