Description
The Automotive Skilled Trades Instructor provides hands‑on classroom instruction for participants enrolled in Goodwill Industries of Michiana's Automotive Skilled Trades Training Program. This part-time role helps individuals build in‑demand automotive technician skills through an ASE‑aligned curriculum designed to meet the needs of local employers and prepare students for successful entry into the automotive workforce.
The Automotive Instructor teaches core competencies including automotive safety, repair theory, diagnostics, brakes, steering and suspension, and engine repair, while reinforcing customer service and workplace readiness skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the organization's core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Doing the Right Thing.
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, hands‑on instruction aligned with ASE standards
• Manage classroom records, attendance, and documentation

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Workplace Specialist License or the ability to obtain
