The Automotive Skilled Trades Instructor plays a key role in delivering high-quality, hands-on training for participants in Goodwill Industries of Michiana's Automotive Skilled Trades Training Program. In this part-time position, the instructor supports skill development in entry-level automotive repair through an ASE-aligned curriculum that reflects current industry standards and workforce needs.
This role focuses on teaching essential automotive concepts such as safety, diagnostics, repair fundamentals, brakes, steering and suspension, and engine systems, while also reinforcing professional skills like communication, reliability, and customer service. The instructor contributes to a supportive learning environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to Goodwill's core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Doing the Right Thing.
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, hands‑on instruction aligned with ASE standards.
