Job description

Copper River Data Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Federal Inside Sales Associate to provide direct support to the sales team in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers.  This position will perform a variety of sales, clerical and administrative activities to support the sales department.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  • Collaborate with account executives to determine essential strategic approaches for sales
  • Contact customers prior to and following sales engagements to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
  • Coordinate and manage lead generation efforts and campaigns
  • Create customer quotes and contracts
  • Create and deliver qualified meetings & opportunities to Account Executives where appropriate
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects
  • Drive demand generation campaign and lead qualification process with cold calls and like methods
  • Identify decision makers amongst the targeted leads to start sales process
  • Recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
  • Support the reseller communication channel throughout the sales interval
  • Attend sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation
  • Coordinate with procurement for status on orders, ensuring the delivery commitments are met
  • Emphasize service or product features and benefits, discuss credit terms, quote prices, and prepare sales order reports or forms
  • Capture accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
  • Remain current of consumer preference by attending sales meetings, vendor training, and trade shows
  • Process sales data, sales progress reports and other sales related records and reports
  • Answer routine product questions and direct questions to appropriate sales personnel
  • Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events
Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Technology, or Finance OR 4 years business experience equivalent

Required Knowledge/Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience with inside sales or sales support experience
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships and partner
  • Prior experience with NASA SEWP and other GWAC Federal Contracts would be preferred
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trends
  • Expert in the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), with proficiency in database management (CRM)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Must be resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented with follow up skills
  • Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day to-day activities
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Required to lift and move tradeshow boxes and materials
