Moog's Corporate Group is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join them! You will have a remote work schedule as part of the Blacksburg, VA team and will report to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager.
As the Operation Trade Specialist (OTS), you will have a hands-on role supporting and facilitating all activities related to the export of goods, technology, and services by obtaining required export licenses and authorizations to ensure Moog's compliance with U.S. export laws.
To be considered for the Operation Trade Specialist role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Typically, a bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of related export compliance experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. export/import regulations including ITAR, EAR, ATF and OFAC.

Highly Desirable:
  • 10 years of direct export/import licensing experience
  • Experience using SAP, GTS, OCR EASE, SNAP-R, and DECCS.

As an Operation Trade Specialist, you will:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the organization, facilitating and consulting on export trade matters to support the development and administration of international trade.
  • Obtain licenses and other U.S. government authorizations necessary for compliance with U.S. trade regulations, having direct ownership for authorization creation and management, ensuring all requirements are met, providing necessary stakeholder training, and maintaining them throughout their lifecycle
  • Communicate export compliance requirements to the organization. Identify, counsel, train, and administer all aspects of business activity which are impacted by trade regulations.
  • Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise in ITAR, EAR, ATF and OFAC regulations affecting the trade of Moog's products, technology, and services.
  • Act as the 'go to' in the use of automated licensing tools and resources as well as responsibilities for the legality of transactions and accuracy of data.
  • As the SME in trade compliance, you'll continuously increase knowledge and understanding of the trade compliance arena and communicate changes in policies and regulations to business stakeholders.
  • Develop and communicate procedures regarding licensing, implementation of provisos, technology control, foreign visitor control, foreign travel and hiring of foreign nationals, and facilitate related training for the business.
  • Support domestic and international business travel, including regular travel to Moog's Blacksburg, VA location.

Salary Range Transparency:

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
