Job description

As a Northern California Pella Commercial Trade Sales Professional, you will develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with builders, contractors, architects, trade organizations and homeowners. San Francisco (including the Peninsula) are your territory. You will be responsible for all practices and aspects to generate a high-volume, profitable sales within your market. We need detail oriented, personable individuals who thrive in Challenging situations (Bartenders looking for a career move are encouraged to apply). The work environment as a Pella Commercial Sales Professional includes showrooms, jobsites, the occasional Trade Show and customer homes. Our most successful Sales Reps come from a construction background or have had experience with fenestration in some capacity.

RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following, but not limited to:

· Responsible for all aspects of the sale including product application, installation, and customer service

· Keeping up with industry codes, trends and requirements

· Represent Pella Doors & Windows at company-sponsored events, professional group invitations, trade association meetings, and consumer shows

· Perform product demonstrations for remodeling, new construction and residential projects

· Read and interpret blueprints

· Learn and understand how Pella products are installed properly and in accordance with recommended guidelines of the manufacturer

· Generate own leads, and follow-up on leads generated by Manager reports, Pella Corporation, window store generated and outstanding Pella proposals

· And most importantly…sell, sell, sell!

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2+ years of outside sales experience preferred

· Customer service and public relations skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

· Have organizational skills, prioritize tasks, and be able to meet deadlines

· Conflict negotiation skills

· Ability to be mobile and be able to occasionally lift/move up to 40lbs

· Must have own fully insured and functional automobile

· Must live in market specified in advertisement THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE!

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Prior knowledge of general construction application and terminology

· Prior knowledge of Window and Door application or components and terminology

· Ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be self-guided, and have outstanding follow-up.
