We are seeking a highly skilled Director Global Trade Compliance to join our team in Boston, MA! This is an outstanding opportunity to develop and implement Hasbro's trade compliance strategy across all our global operations, ensuring we remain a world-class leader in the industry!
What You Will Do as a Director of Global Trade Compliance:
  • Direct Hasbro's worldwide trade compliance approach by ensuring adherence to changing geopolitical, regulatory, customs, tariff, sanctions, and forced labor rules. Support business continuity and reduce financial and reputational risks.
  • Serve as the primary trade compliance advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic mentorship on trade policy developments, emerging risks, and global regulatory changes that impact Hasbro's operations.
  • Lead and develop a distributed group of 12 professionals responsible for all aspects of Hasbro's trade compliance program, including tariff classification, country of origin, customs valuation, customs broker management, restricted party screening, and trade program governance.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the program, ensure adherence to global trade standards, such as CTPAT, Importer Self-Assessment (ISA), Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programs, denied party screening, sanctions regulations, forced labor requirements, and other customs and trade-related responsibilities.
  • Coordinate trade compliance audits, assessments, disclosures, investigations, and corrective action plans, driving continuous improvement and regulatory readiness across all regions.
  • Partner closely with Sourcing, Logistics, Tax, Security, Ethical Sourcing, Product Development, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Internal Audit teams to embed compliance into business processes while finding opportunities for cost savings, duty optimization, and operational efficiencies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement central initiatives that improve global trade operations, reduce risk, and generate measurable cost savings and process efficiencies throughout the supply chain.
  • Drive the adoption of technology, automation, and data analytics solutions to improve trade compliance controls, visibility, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customs authorities, government agencies, industry associations, external advisors, and trade organizations to stay ahead of regulatory developments and support business objectives.
  • Lead the selection, performance management, and strategic oversight of Hasbro's customs broker network and other trade compliance service providers.
What You Will Bring:
  • 7+ years of advancing experience in international trade compliance at a global company.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent expertise demonstrated through a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) credential.
  • Experience leading and developing global, cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to influence collaborators and work effectively across regions and functions.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. Customs regulations, WTO valuation principles, tariff classification (HTS), Rules of Origin, Free Trade Agreements, Forced Labor regulations, sanctions programs, and export controls.
  • Extensive experience with customs valuation and tariff classification, collaborating with Product Development, Sourcing, Finance, Legal, and Logistics groups to ensure compliance and improve trade outcomes.
  • Experience conducting preferential origin analyses within highly globalized, multinational, publicly traded organizations.
  • Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive strategic compliance initiatives across global organizations.
  • Experience bringing to bear trade management systems, automation platforms, and data analytics tools to improve compliance, visibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Consistent record of effectively planning, prioritizing, and accomplishing multiple global, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.

The pay transparency range for this role is listed below. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
