???? Elevate Wine Sales Excellence – Strategic Trade & Supplier Liaison Opportunity

Rhode Island Distributing LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and highly organized Wine Sales Manager – Trade & Supplier Liaison to play a pivotal role in driving wine and spirits sales success across our organization.

This strategic, cross-functional position serves as a key bridge between supplier programs, sales leadership, and field teams. You’ll translate complex strategies into practical tools, ensure strong program execution, and help elevate our wine portfolio performance in a competitive wholesale environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with multiple sales divisions to translate supplier programs, incentives, and priorities into clear, actionable tools for the field sales teams.
  • Lead the creation, organization, and maintenance of comprehensive wine program books and sales support materials (including sell sheets).
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales incentives, program performance, and execution metrics to provide visibility to leadership.
  • Support trade audit control, compliance, and accurate trade spend management.
  • Provide hands-on trade marketing and merchandising support, including POS coordination, order events, key promotions, and selling periods.
  • Design and analyze surveys to gather feedback from sales teams and customers, turning insights into improved execution.
  • Act as an internal connector — gather field intelligence, identify opportunities, and collaborate across teams to solve execution challenges.
  • Support and help lead wine dinners, winemaker events, industry trade shows, and other key activations.
  • Reinforce best practices and drive consistency across all sales divisions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in wine & spirits sales, supplier management, or wholesale operations.
  • Advanced wine knowledge (WSET, CMS, or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the three-tier system and trade marketing practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
