Trade Payables Finance Systems Solutions Engineering Lead is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and solution activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and lead a Business Solution Analyst unit focused on building Business Systems for Trade Finance / Supply Chain Finance business
  • Partner with Product, Operations and Engineering teams across Citi TTS to create a collaborative environment towards defining vision/goals/strategy and delivering on the vision
  • Directly impacts the business through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions for IT Project Leadership. Drive strategic discussion with business and technical stakeholders to smart trade-off decisions that balance efforts, delivery timelines, features, and technical constraints.
  • Design, research, develop, analyze and recommend new solutions to keep the business systems competitive and responsive to market needs
  • Foster a culture of innovation and solution excellence across the development organization: industry standard practices, adoption of emerging technology solutions and open standards, creating a culture of collaboration and efficiency
  • Improve the cross-product architecture across the group by driving more modern development methods including Continuous Integration-Continuous Delivery and DevOps
  • Manage the regulatory agenda in line with broader business objectives and working with other key IT and business stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery and prioritization of such initiatives.
  • Manages and oversees the end-to-end delivery such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management
  • Provides expertise in projects managed and demonstrates an advanced level of understanding of the principles of IT project leadership.
  • Coach, mentor and motivate teams of analysts to excel in their contribution and career growth
  • Establish, promote and communicate business solution/design Patterns, business system integration standards and scalable solutions.
  • Establish metrics and track on Design Quality, Business value delivery and User adoption
  • Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Possesses an understanding of Trade Finance / Supply Chain business functions.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of hand-on business solution analysis and technology delivery experience
  • Deep expertise as a hands-on technology solutions leader working on complex systems in a large organization, structuring, establishing, and leading multiple product-centric engineering teams
  • Has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products / services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
  • Experience driving software delivery transformation through SAFe Agile practice and process, with a focus of establishing Continuous Delivery culture and process
  • Knowledge of Domain Driven design, BDD, TDD and associated Developer Toolchains, DevOps models, and best practice
  • Significant delivery skills either as a high-profile contributor or project lead
  • Good understanding and working experience in Application development and delivery experience with modern technology stack
    • Hands on with Java & Spring Framework
    • RDBMS (Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
    • Container (Docker) and Kubernetes
    • event-driven (Solace or Kafka), CQRS
  • Good understanding and working experience in API documentation, API eco system & API driven payment/services, security solution & pattern, PII data handling and API gateway
  • Good understanding and working experience in performance tuning of large technical solutions with significant volumes
  • Good understanding and working experience in solutioning Digital features to provide persona based, simple and intuitive workflow
  • Good understanding and working experience in building enterprise transaction-based system with focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance.
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing a multiple stakeholder goals.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent.

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
