JOB TITLE: Project Manager 1
Position Description:
The Project Manager is the operational owner of all assigned Construction Scope, including:
Project Team Leadership
Manage Trade-Level Contract Adherence. Schedule Alignment/Execution: Manage Critical Path and Contracted Durations.
Track Progress in a Standard Manner. Provide Accurate / Timely updates & reports.
Budget Management
Change Control: Provide Monthly Cost Forecasting (from commits through final spends)
Essential Job Functions:
• Leads construction scope as "owner" within all aspects of the assigned Construction projects.
• Ensures that all deliverables have been met and turned over to the client.
• Ensures that final cost reports are accurate and assists Tool Install Manager and Finance close-out project.
• Manages efforts to clear out internal/external project areas of all unused materials and equipment.
• Implements efficiencies and Lean activities that will support a competitive financial environment.
• Forecasts and reconciles monthly budget for construction costs.
• Ensures that the appropriate level of participation is occurring within the Design Review Process and will provide constructability consultation throughout each phase of the assigned Construction Projects, including throughput of all Requests for Information and construction scope change control processes.
• Owns the timely escalation to Management whenever Construction Project Operations and Deliverables are at risk, or whenever help is needed.
• Verbal contributions that consistently adds value to process, with persuasive arguments that influence peers and management.
• Can summarize a lot of information into concise and clear documents or emails (e.g., one-page reports or A3's).
• Prepares concise presentations with clearly defined problem statements, risks and proposed solutions that are reviewed by project stakeholders and Sr. Management.
• Provides input and feedback to others in terms of team and individual performance, including matrix personnel that are supporting the Functional Area Construction Project Team.
• Works collaboratively within Layout Dependent and PSSS construction integration team relative to scope management and integration.
• Builds and sustains a Culture of Success, Collaboration and Predictability in terms of:- Provides timely and accurate schedule updates.
• Achieves month to month Total Forecast Variance of 10% or less.
• Manages the primary trade's contacts (Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical (HVAC) & Process Pipe) to ensure each build is in accordance with all the Construction Specifications, applicable close, Location Specific drawing Packages, Construction Scope Change Control processes and the applicable Terms & Conditions.
• Provides weekly Construction Progress Updates (for each tool in construction within the assigned area) that indicate accurate per-tool risk assessments, with feasible mitigation plans for each element of risk.
• Adheres, monitors & verifies quality of project deliverables and Third-party contractor activities to validate that all installations meet minimum performance standards and Intel's "Copy Exact" criteria.
Requirements
Job Experience / Requirements / Skills
• Must be able to work in an integrated team environment, must work well with ambiguous settings, and must work well independently and can manage multiple priorities.
• Understand the fundaments of the Last Planner® System and drives utilization within the Project Team.
• Strong leadership, business partnership, written/verbal communication and analytical skills are a must to ensure alignment with internal customers, peers, and suppliers.
• Possess the necessary skills required to develop project scope, budgets, schedules, and manage the execution of multiple simultaneous projects.
• Technical skills should be at a level required to thoroughly understand engineering decisions and code requirements related to building construction; cleanroom retrofits; and facility electrical, mechanical, and process systems.
• Extensive skills with the utilization of project management software (Project Estimating, Scheduling, and Procurement systems)
• 4 Year degree in Construction Management or Engineering discipline
• L1 PM shall be able to demonstrate pursuit of PMP certification.
• 6 years in semiconductor or high-tech related construction experience or
4-year Professional degree in construction management/engineering and 2 years in semiconductor or high-tech related construction experience or 2-year technical degree and 4 years in semiconductor or high-tech related construction experience.
