Our Prime Brokerage business delivers a suite of wholesale financing solutions and services to hedge fund and broker-dealer clients to meet the regulatory and risk-based leverage needs of today's most sophisticated institutional investors across multiple asset classes. Our Electronic Trading business delivers high-touch and low-touch execution capabilities across global markets, providing institutional clients with efficient market access, algorithmic trading solutions, and seamless connectivity supported by strong risk management and operational oversight. And our Clearing Services business offers outsourcing solutions to broker dealers in cash and derivatives markets, including custody, clearing, books and records and financing of settlements and positions.As an Associate I Prime Service Support you will complete various tasks such trade ticketing and allocations, security master maintenance, price maintenance, trade corrections, monthly fees calculation and processing, assist with new business/new product initiatives, while also liaising closely with front office and the trading desk. In addition, you will serve as a liaison between Front Office and the Back Office, helping troubleshoot and resolve outstanding issues, and provide internal reporting. The incumbent will proactively analyze and recommend enhancements to existing business processes, clearly communicate rationale and negotiate solutions which will enhance operational effectiveness. Technical knowledge in Python, SQL, VBA, etc. is required for success in this role and the business. Product knowledge in Cash Prime and Synthetic Prime, linear and non-linear trading is preferred.

How you'll succeed

  • Attention to detail & Analytical skills - You will manage distribution of daily client reports, ensuring timely delivery, and will also assist in presenting analytical reports to senior management and clients. Including reconciliation of the Prime Brokerage Platform and ADP, trade entry, trade ticketing and allocation, security master maintenance, price maintenance, trade corrections, monthly fees calculation and processing. Mandatory knowledge in terms of the products (cash and synthetic, both linear and non-linear) that are traded within the Prime business and associated risks both, market and operational.
  • Partnership and relationship management - The incumbent will have frequent professional engagement with clients, traders, regulators, technology, senior leaders and other support staff. You will be required to liaise and manage both internal and external relationships.
  • Problem-Solving - Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving organizational, operational or process problems. Identifies and documents specific problems, and alternative resolutions.Use tools such as Python, Structured Query Language (SQL), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Excel to automate tasks, enhance reporting, support data analysis, and strengthen business processes. Strong Technical skills, Python, SQL, VBA, Excel, etc. are a must.
  • Product and risk awareness - Apply and continue building knowledge of cash prime and synthetic prime products, including linear and non-linear instruments, as well as the related market, operational, margin, collateral, and settlement risks across the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
  • Operational Functions - Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements. Seeks efficiencies in operational functions wherever possible. Experience with Markit Cash One, Swap One, Broadridge/ADP, along with other industry-leading applications preferred.
  • Effective Communication - Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors, tools and techniques. Communicates well downward, upward and outward.

  • You can demonstrate experience. 2+ years of experience in relevant industry roles. Showing understanding of trade execution/processing, reconciliations, interest calculations, Pricing and NAV calculations, Risk, etc. A strong understanding of capital markets and familiarity with brokerage and clearing house regulations is beneficial. Previous experience in Capital Markets roles is an asset with familiarity of margin rules (IM, VM, UMR, Market Risk, Collateral), brokerage finance, equity finance, & linear and non-linear derivatives.
