The Opportunity

Join a collaborative and supportive team focused on transformer repair. In this role, you'll assist skilled tradespeople and support shipping/receiving operations. You'll gain hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and procedures. You'll learn from experienced team members and grow your technical and organizational skills. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment.

Starting salary: 31.53$ / hour. Must be willing to work on rotational shifts every 2 weeks (Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and Monday to Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am)

How you'll make an impact

  • Assist with transformer repair operations, under the direction of the supervisor or other repairmen.

  • Perform basic mechanical and logistical tasks, following predetermined procedures.

  • Operate forklifts and cranes when required.

  • Pick up and deliver materials and equipment using shop truck.

  • Support shipping and receiving when needed.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, dispose of garbage/recycling in accordance with local environmental standards.

  • Label and store dismantled materials accurately.

  • Monitor dry air pressure on stored units.

  • Support continuous improvements initiatives within the facility.

  • Contribute to safety and quality improvements by identifying and addressing issues within the scope of the role.

Your background

  • High school diploma.

  • Experience in a semi-skilled trade.

  • Able to read drawings and bills of material.

  • Comfortable with physical tasks like lifting, bending, pushing & pulling.

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • WAH training, forklift license, MEWP licensed an asset
