What is the opportunity?

RBC PH&N Investment Counsel is one of Canada's leading investment counselling boutiques that offers the next level of investment management designed to free clients from the day-to-day details of managing their wealth. Our accredited Investment Counsellors work with clients to build personalized strategies, combining our disciplined investment approach with the full breadth of our wealth management capabilities, to help their wealth last for their lifetime and beyond.

As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for assisting an Investment Counsellor and other members of the team in providing daily portfolio maintenance administration and superior service to high net worth clients of RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel Inc.

As a Private Client Associate you will be a critical member of a high-performing investment counselling team dedicated to delivering exceptions client servicing, discretionary investment management and wealth services to high-net-worth individuals and families. You will work alongside Investment Counsellors to provide operations and relationship support, ensuring seamless and personalized client experiences.

What will you do?

  • Respond to client inquiries and ensure any issue is resolved to the satisfaction of the client

  • Be a key support to the administrative activities and responsibilities of the team

  • Ensure trades are processed accurately and on a timely basis

  • Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation and maintain client cash flows and balances

  • Maintain records and files and attend client meetings as required

  • Proactively assist with client management of appointments and scheduled meetings/calls

  • Assist other team members and continue to strengthen cross-business working relationships

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role in the investment industry

  • College diploma or bachelor's degree

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Proven client service skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills

Nice to Have

  • CSC, CIM, and\or CFP Designations
