Job description

POSITION: LBM Assembly Worker - Tractor Implement Technician

COMPANY: Mahindra Automotive North America

LOCATION: Pontiac, MI


FUNCTION: This person will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and will also follow directions from Production Manager for daily operations. The position will mainly entail, but not be limited to the following tasks:


  • Perform activities in assembly functions including installation of attachments including loader, backhoe, mid-mount mower products.
  • Perform assembly and material movement functions.
  • Follow production schedules & communicates with supervisor.
  • Receive instructions from production supervisor and from operations on production plan.
  • Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements.
  • Inventory control and cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs.
  • Must have knowledge of hand tools.
  • Must have knowledge crane operation.
  • Performs other duties and/or completes training as required by Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS: Experience in the following elements are required.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
  • Overhead crane experience.
  • Trained and competent in industrial environment.
  • Valve assembly - Mechanical experience.
  • Quality and Safety background.
  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous assembler experience on a production floor.
  • Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to prolonged standing, bending, lifting and/or moving material


NOTE: Duties for this and all Assembler levels are generically defined to describe job functions with similar skill levels. Area supervision has responsibility for defining and communicating those duties which apply to specific job functions within this classification.


Shift: 6a - 2:30p EST
Overtime will be required based on company needs.
