What You’ll Do:

  • Accurate Payroll Processing: You’ll take charge of processing employee payroll on scheduled dates, ensuring timely and correct payments.
  • Monitor Time Reporting: Proactively monitor our electronic time reporting system to prevent errors and work with managers to address any issues.
  • Resolve Payroll Inquiries: Be the go-to person for employees, answering their payroll-related questions and resolving any concerns with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Bonus & Commission Payouts: You’ll manage bonus and commission payouts, ensuring everything is handled promptly and correctly.
  • Employee Benefits & Union Payments: Process invoices related to employee benefits and union employee fund payments.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports
  • Account Reconciliation & Resolution: Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous Payroll Experience: Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk, Payroll Specialist, or similar role. Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP or QuickBooks is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Regulations: Understanding of wage laws, confidentiality policies, and employee notification requirements.
  • Accounting Fundamentals Expertise: Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgets
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfort with standard desktop applications and payroll systems.
  • Accuracy & Confidentiality: A high level of attention to detail, precision in processing data, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Great Communication Skills: Ability to address employee questions and resolve payroll and accounting concerns in a professional and approachable manner
