Vendor Performance Specialist

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Division: Supply Chain
Reports to: Vendor Compliance amp; Freight Payment Supervisor
About the Role:
The Vendor Performance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring vendor compliance with business requirements while fostering strong, trust-based relationships. This position involves assessing vendor performance, managing compliance documentation, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders. The role is also instrumental in coaching internal teams, providing clear guidelines, and ensuring consistency in compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Compliance amp; Performance:
  • Conduct regular vendor audits to assess compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Implement corrective action plans for vendors failing to meet company standards.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for compliance improvement and performance optimization.
Stakeholder Communication amp; Training:
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to define and communicate compliance expectations.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person meetings/presentations to ensure alignment on standards.
  • Train and support internal teams in vendor compliance processes.
Risk Assessment amp; Continuous Improvement:
  • Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and improve vendor credibility.
  • Analyze compliance data and recommend enhancements to policies and procedures.
  • Organize compliance-related tasks, track deadlines, and ensure timely execution of improvement plans.
Education and Experience:
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in vendor management, compliance, supply chain operations, or a related field is a plus.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in vendor scorecards, compliance protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft.
