What is a TPM engineer?

TPM Engineers, or Total Productive Maintenance Engineers, are professionals responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing equipment and processes. They implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, analyze equipment performance data, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase productivity. TPM Engineers often work closely with production teams, maintenance staff, and management to ensure that equipment operates at optimal levels and that maintenance practices align with organizational goals.

How does a TPM engineer typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during project development?

As a TPM Engineer, collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure project success. You’ll often coordinate between engineering, product management, quality assurance, and operations to align timelines, define requirements, and resolve technical challenges.
