JOB POSTING
JOB TITLE: Mechanic/Fabricator
REPORTS TO: Supervisor
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The purpose of this position is to inspect mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. Perform inspections on vehicles to repair, maintain, and upgrade vehicle functionality and longevity. The position includes a variety of work; such as mechanical and fabrication.
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years experience working with small engines, sheet metal, drill presses, etc.
  • Experience working with metal (welding and fabrication).
  • Must have the ability to think critically and problem solve.
  • Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments.
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety.
  • Electrical wiring knowledge a plus.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
  • Inspecting/Troubleshooting vehicles to determine adjustments and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic to ensure the vehicles are repaired, safe and in good working condition.
  • Fabricate, assemble or disassemble vehicles using hand tools.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance when needed.
  • Cleaning work vehicle and work area, as necessary, to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Meeting all company, governmental, and equipment related safety requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
