Who we're looking for

Toyota's Production Control Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Ordering Analyst to join our team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage parts ordering, maintain optimal inventory levels, and provide inventory visibility using Toyota Production System (TPS) principles to support daily production requirements and downstream operations.

Reporting to the Parts Ordering Manager, this individual will play a key role in supporting Production Control's commitment to maintaining a safe, customer-focused environment driven by operational excellence, continuous improvement, and KPI based decision-making.

What you'll be doing

  • Daily management of component parts flow and adjusting inventory levels to an appropriate level on the shop floor

  • Crisis management and coordinating with all internal and external supply chain stakeholders.

  • Leading problem-solving efforts to countermeasure and mitigate impact of abnormal supply chain conditions.

  • Leading build out and new model launches through project management and reflection.

  • Supporting change point management activities impacting production and production systems

  • Meeting or exceeding Hoshin Targets for PC/TMMAL

  • Utilizing TBP thinking to challenge the status quo

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years or more of relevant work experience.

  • 3 years or more of experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and Microsoft Access.

  • 3 years or more of project planning, coordination, and schedule management experience.

  • 1 or more years of inventory management experience.

  • 1 or more years of experience in manufacturing, production, or supply chain operations.

  • 1 or more years of experience in problem-solving, continuous improvement, or process optimization.

  • Flexibility to support production and project-related issues outside of normal business hours when necessary, including occasional early morning meetings, evenings, weekends, or crisis management situations.

Added bonus if you have

  • Interest and willingness to leverage AI tools and collaborate with diverse teams to improve business processes and operational performance.

  • Experience with Toyota systems such as eKanban, PSMS, or Toyota Supplier One-Way Kanban.

  • Experience using Power BI, SQL, SharePoint, Access databases, or other business intelligence and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated success in negotiation, stakeholder management, consensus building, and customer-focused decision making.

  • Experience using KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance and process improvements.

  • Quality Circle certification, problem-solving certification, or similar continuous improvement training.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, production planning, materials management, or supply chain optimization initiatives.
