Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Prepare shipments as assigned according to customer requirements.
  • Ensures accuracy of finished goods labels and informs appropriate management of any possible missed shipments.
  • Ensure the accuracy of part identification within the shipping area.
  • Uses current scanning systems to complete shipments of parts to customer.
  • Communicate to Supervisor or appropriate management representative any safety, quality, and/or productivity issues.
  • Ensures that all tasks and orders are complete before he/she leaves.
  • Ensures all shipping documentation is delivered to the assigned areas before shift end.
  • Ensures at the end of the day that the shipping area is in a clean and safe manner.
  • Operates forklift to load finished goods.
  • Repack pass-through parts as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Basic computer and printer knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Keypunch accuracy (primarily numbers)
  • One to two years shipping experience a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklift.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • General knowledge of shipping operation a plus.
  • Must have working knowledge of English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Light to moderate physical effort required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach, lift, and move about the facility in order to perform assigned duties.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, and move about the facility.
  • Required to be able to read documents and computer screens.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed in a non air conditioned plant environment.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
