Toyo Automotive Parts (USA), Inc. (TAP) is a subsidiary of Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. of Osaka, Japan. Headquartered in Franklin, Kentucky, TAP manufactures anti-vibration and noise reduction parts, such as rubber bushings and body/suspension mounts, for the automotive industry. TAP's expanded manufacturing facility incorporates many new processes that are geared towards safe and efficient manufacturing. TAP is QS 9000 as well as ISO 14001 certified and has been a Franklin - Simpson Industry of the Year recipient.
TAP is part of the Toyo Tires group of companies that manufactures and distributes Toyo and Nitto brand tires in the U.S. The company's tire portfolio covers a broad range of applications, including high-performance racing-inspired tires, rugged off-road tires for light trucks and SUVs, luxury-touring tires, and commercial truck tires.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Operates various manufacturing equipment
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Must be able to perform various machine operating tasks: machine setup, loading machine, unloading machine, and check coating viscosity twice per shift, perform prescribed machine troubleshooting, inspecting parts and other prescribed machine operating duties.
  • Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years manufacturing experience a plus.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Must be able to read operation standards and complete various daily reports, i.e. quality, production.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
  • None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Light to moderate physical effort required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility in order to operate assigned equipment for at least eight (8) or more hours per day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed in a non-air conditioned Plant environment.
  • Will be required to use primer, adhesive, and painting coatings related to job.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
