Job description

We are seeking a Retail Store Manager to join our team at our iconic children's store in Vail. Since 1978, KidSport has been the go to store for Everything Kids in the Vail Valley! With the recent addition of Vail Toys to our brand, our growth and future remain bright.

You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the retail sales team and the day to day operations of our store.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and supervise team of retail sales workers
  • Create and adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Attend buying shows and assist in purchasing product
  • Inventory control and management
  • Merchandising
  • Train and evaluate employees
  • Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints
  • Social Media daily updates and development
  • Report directly, daily, to the store ownership

Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience in retail, customer service, or other related fields
  • Strong background in retail and inventory software as well as Microsoft and Apple Applications
  • Ability to problem solve computer, internet and credit card processing issues
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
