Job description

The Petting Zoo, located in Savage, Maryland, is seeking Full & Part-time staff for its Distribution Center.

Do you need flexible hours, we can work that out!

We design, manufacture, and distribute Plush Stuffed Animals throughout the US, from our Savage, MD location

We are looking for General Warehouse staff, Fork Lift Operators, Order picking and receiving that can work, Full time or Part time

Our ideal candidates skills match one or more of these skills below:

  • Assist in the "hands on" unloading of inbound floor loaded ocean containers
  • Operate forklift for palletized product put away
  • Order Picking
  • Assist in general warehouse duties and to fill in where necessary
  • Flexibility is a must

Qualifications

1. Ability to consistently lift 35 lbs and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.

2. Aptitude to work in a fast paced distribution center while meeting hourly established quotas and performance standards.

3. Self-motivated with ability to work in a team oriented environment with limited supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction.

4. Flexibility/adaptability coupled with good multi-tasking skills.

5. Ability to operate a narrow aisle forklift is a plus!

Expectations of all staff

1. Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.

2. Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.

3. Adheres to all quality and safety guidelines.

4. Works under moderate degree of supervision.

5. High School diploma or equivalent.

6. One year minimum distribution center experience

Hourly wage is $17.00 + per Hour, based on experience level
