Job description

Objective

We are seeking a motivated, safety-conscious, and hands-on Tower Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced technicians to install, maintain, and upgrade wireless communication systems across the Hawaiian Islands.

Duties

  • Troubleshoot antenna and communication line issues, and perform equipment upkeep such as rust removal and painting.
  • Install fiber optic or coax cables, mount antennas and monopoles, and assist with tower erection.
  • Conduct equipment testing and line sweeping under the direction of the field supervisor.
  • Perform climbing and rappelling tasks, provide labor for material transport, and ensure job sites are cleared of debris.
  • Manage material shipping, document project progress through photography for closeouts.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by the supervisor on duty.

Training and Qualifications

  • We are committed to the professional development of our team members. All industry-related training and certifications required for this role will be provided and paid for by the company.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to climb/rappel towers and rappel off buildings
  • Ability to travel interisland from Monday to Friday on an as-needed basis (travel may be for the day or require overnight stays ranging from 1–4 days; per-diem provided)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and execute tasks and instructions
