Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
Job Summary: The Tower Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication towers and equipment. This role involves working at heights to install and service antennas, radios, and other wireless infrastructure components. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions. They have a strong understanding of tower safety protocols and be committed to delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Climb and work on communications towers up to 500 feet daily.
  • Install, test, and maintain cellular network components, including coax, radio, fiber, antennas, and related equipment.
  • Perform maintenance or repair work on existing tower equipment using hand or power tools.
  • Operate and maintain survey and testing equipment, such as sweeps, PIM, fiber, and microwave tools.
  • Provide technical support by working with vendors' service centers and technicians to resolve any issues.
  • Transport equipment to work sites using utility trucks and equipment trailers.
  • Work in varied inclement weather conditions and maintain a safe job site
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including inspecting climbing gear and tools before use.
  • Travel throughout the U.S. on a regular basis.
  • Be available for evening, weekend, and rotational assignments, including on-call responsibilities.
  • Provide support and assistance to foreman.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in civil construction or telecommunications is preferred.
  • Background and MVR check required.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and pre-employment physical.
  • Telecom or construction experience is preferred; on-the-job training is available as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel as required and work weekends when necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills at all levels and the ability to follow directions.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities.
  • A willingness to travel extensively and work weekends as required.
