$19.00 - $21.00 DOE / Full Time PM Shift

Caregiver Position Overview:
Assist in the care of patients under the supervision of licensed staff and assist the Certified Nursing assistants and the professional nursing staff by performing routine or less-skilled tasks in the care of patients and environment.
Essential Functions - Caregiver:
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the residents served.
  • Deliver water, pitchers and ice to resident rooms, answer call lights, assist in getting the correct person to help the resident, and make beds.
  • Take residents to activities and to meals.
  • Keep patients' environment clean, such as beds, bedside stands, and wardrobe closets.
  • Keep service areas clean and equipped, including utility rooms.
  • Ensure proper inventory of supplies and operational equipment.
  • Notify charge nurse of any change in patients' condition on a timely basis.
  • Report any equipment in need of repair to the supervisor and in the Maintenance Log.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Aptitude to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.

Requirements and Education:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
