Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Leasing Team at Kairos Living — a rapidly growing national single-family rental (SFR) fund — is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven leasing professional to help drive occupancy across our portfolio. This role is central to our resident experience, from the very first inquiry through move-in and beyond.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of sales hustle and genuine hospitality — someone who can convert leads with confidence, communicate property features compellingly, and ensure every prospective resident feels valued throughout the process. You will work closely with prospects, current residents, and internal teams across operations, marketing, and property management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leasing & Sales

  • Manage the full leasing cycle from lead inquiry to executed lease agreement
  • Handle inbound and outbound prospect communication via phone, email, and text with responsiveness and professionalism
  • Guide prospects in finding the right home by understanding their needs and matching them to available properties across the portfolio
  • Assist prospects in registering for self-guided tours and provide all necessary information to ensure a smooth touring experience
  • Execute post-tour outbound follow-up campaigns to increase application volume and maintain high conversion rates
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly leasing KPIs including leads contacted, applications submitted, and leases signed

Application & Lease Processing

  • Screen applicants by conducting credit, background, and income verification checks in accordance with qualification criteria
  • Prepare, review, and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies and local regulations
  • Coordinate the move-in process, ensuring all documentation and unit-readiness requirements are met prior to resident possession

Resident Retention & Portfolio Support

  • Support the lease renewal process to contribute to resident retention goals
  • Assist with marketing efforts for available properties, including listing accuracy and syndication
  • Log all leasing activity in Yardi (property management software) accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain Kairos Living's customer service and sales standards across all resident touchpoints

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in residential leasing, property management, or real estate sales
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse personalities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and meet sales targets
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Preferred

  • Experience with Yardi Voyager and/or Yardi Site Manager
  • Familiarity with single-family rental (SFR) or build-to-rent (BTR) operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience with CRM tools and lead management platforms
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws and landlord-tenant regulations

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

We believe in rewarding performance and investing in our people. In addition to a competitive base salary, this role includes:

  • Monthly leasing bonus tied to executed leases
  • Employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • 8 paid company holidays
  • Structured professional development and career growth opportunities
