Position Summary: Ski & Ride School Supervisors are friendly, welcoming, and inclusive all while providing unparalleled learning and customer service experiences for our Guests and Staff. Our supervisors understand that our staff deserve to be treated with respect and that positive staff experiences lead to employee retention and job satisfaction. Supervisors set the standard for professionalism and culture within our school through the embodiment of our learning culture and policies. Our supervisors work throughout the season and ensure the best possible experience for the Eldora SRS staff and guests, working calmly in stressful situations on an individual basis and as a part of the Eldora team.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
  • Focus on quality of our lessons, guests and employee relations, staff performance, communication, teamwork and administrative duties.
  • This position will supervise operations of SRS Reservations Staff, indoor and outdoor reservations facilities and will assist with guest lesson questions as well as continuing to foster our culture of a learning community.
  • Must love working with people and can communicate effectively with adults to build trust and respect.
  • Have a desire to learn and develop personal skills by attending our free, ongoing ski & snowboard training.
  • Live the Eldora culture of being welcoming and inclusive while abiding by our policies.
  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset and encourages staff to build their brand through Eldora's client base and SRS products.
  • Must be able to access daily schedules and company notices electronically.
  • All employees are expected to support Eldora's corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

Specific Job Skills:
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and guest service skills
  • Ability to ski and ride well, but we are looking for a 'people person' who has the desire to develop their personal skiing and/or riding skills.
  • Minimum High School degree or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience working in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working in a Ski and Ride School.
  • Point of sale and software system exposure, ideally with RTP, Flaik, ADP, and/or Microsoft Office
  • Ability to pass a background check by company standards.

Responsible for:
  • Scheduling and assigning work, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, hiring/termination, training, guest relations.

Schedule:
  • Non-Peak Days (M-F): 7:45am-4:30pm
  • Peak Days (Sa/Sun/Holidays): 7:30am-5:00pm
  • This schedule represents an average work week and is subject to change based on guest volume, operational needs, and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $21+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience/PSIA-AASI certifications etc.
  • Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
