Position Title: Seasonal Operations Clerk

Reports to: Shift Manager

Department: Operations

Classification: Seasonal, Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Pay: $22.50 – $23.25 an hour

The Seasonal Operations Clerk provides essential clerical, timekeeping, and hospitality support during the seasonal harvest. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, collecting and organizing timecards, generating reports, tracking supplies, coordinating employee services, and assisting with general administrative tasks. The Operations Clerk ensures smooth day-to-day operations by supporting both the Operations teams with guidance from People Operations, as needed.

Corto Harvest is a 24/7 operation from mid-October – early December so the ability to work any shift, at least 6 days per week, is required and a willingness to work up to 12 hours if needed.

This position will be primarily responsible for:

  • Executing assigned tasks in accordance with established work instructions, checklists, reaction plans, and operational procedures while ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Maintaining accurate employee timekeeping records and entering employee time data into applicable systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborating with Shift Managers and Milling Supervisors to investigate, resolve, and communicate employee timekeeping issues and discrepancies.
  • Serving as a liaison between employees and Operations to support accurate time reporting, attendance accountability, and effective communication.
  • Reviewing facility time and attendance data regularly and notifying management of discrepancies, trends, or concerns requiring attention.
  • Monitoring employee break and meal period schedules to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
  • Supporting employee hospitality and workplace experience initiatives, including event and tour setup and breakdown, break room organization, cleanliness, and supply management.
  • Greeting and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to the appropriate department or point of contact.
  • Supporting safety and food safety programs by monitoring compliance, communicating requirements, and escalating concerns to management as needed.
  • Coordinating the collection, organization, and distribution of employee seasonal perks, including olive oil orders and other employee programs.
  • Providing cross-functional administrative and operational support to Shift Managers, People Operations, and other departments as needed.
  • Assisting with employee engagement initiatives, including team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee events.
  • Supporting the completion and organization of incident, accident, and related documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complying with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; participating in safety training and promptly reporting unsafe conditions, hazards, or work practices.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year’s experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability of attention to detail and following procedures.
  • Verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within the team.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

    Physical Requirements:

    Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; rare stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and rare fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 25% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 50% or more standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in an manufacturing environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. is required.
