With a dedicated team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), our clinic is renowned for its commitment to evidence-based practices, innovation, and positive patient outcomes.

Work Environment

Your working environment will be at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center where our focus on patient comfort, safety, and therapeutic efficacy is paramount. The center is designed to be inviting and equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance in a supportive setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patient needs and establish effective treatment goals tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Perform hands-on therapy techniques on clients, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility and function.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that utilize a wide range of therapeutic approaches, adapting as necessary based on patient progress.
  • Engage patients in ongoing discussions to explain treatment options and actively involve them in their recovery process.
  • Monitor patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment strategies to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in our EMR system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Promote wellness through the design of custom fitness programs that enhance strength, balance, and overall health.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, addressing any interdisciplinary needs required for patient success.
  • Participate in continuous education and improvement of clinical skills, as well as contribute to team meetings and staff training sessions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families about lifestyle modifications that promote ongoing health and well-being.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatients recovering from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Our diverse clientele ranges from young athletes seeking to regain pre-injury performance levels to older adults aiming to enhance mobility and quality of life. Your role will significantly contribute to their overall health journey by addressing their unique needs and providing them with valuable support throughout their rehabilitation.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no disciplinary actions.
  • Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, especially WebPT.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively motivate and educate patients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and contemporary rehabilitation methodologies.
  • Background in developing comprehensive wellness and fitness programs.
