As a Full-Time Total Loss Claims Specialist at First Chicago Insurance Company (FCIC), you will review and determine the course of action for each assigned claim, leveraging your technical expertise to support the final disposition of losses. Your role involves investigating and evaluating total loss files for both insureds and third-party claimants, ensuring prompt follow-up on necessary documentation like signed titles to facilitate efficient salvage resolution. You will maintain thorough documentation and keep accurate records of each claim's activity while prioritizing and organizing work to ensure timely conclusions. What you need to be successful

  • General working knowledge of policies, file procedures, state rules, and regulations
  • Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed Claims Adjuster
  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Ability to use on-line claims system
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus but not required
