Job Title: Assembler - Switchgear

Location: Henrico, VA 23231

Shift: First Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

About the Role

A global manufacturer of electrical power distribution units used in data centers is seeking Assemblers to join its Henrico team.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role where you will build, wire, and torque electrical components while working from blueprints, schematics, and build instructions. The environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and consistent attendance.

Work includes assembling breakers, transformers, wiring harnesses, and completing cabinet builds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical power distribution units and switchgear components
  • Build and install breakers, transformers, wiring harnesses, and related components
  • Use hand tools and torque tools safely and accurately
  • Follow written instructions, diagrams, build sheets, blueprints, and schematics
  • Complete cabinet builds according to specifications
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining quality standards
  • Support production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read and write English
  • Experience using basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, and torque tools
  • Ability to work first shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
  • Reliable transportation to the Henrico/Airport area
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive hands-on work throughout the shift
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or trades-related roles
  • Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and build sheets
  • Stable work history and strong attendance record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic wiring experience, including automotive, machinery, HVAC, appliances, or similar applications
  • Ability to read basic blueprints or electrical schematics
  • Previous experience assembling electrical or mechanical components
  • Experience using torque tools and following precision build specifications
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and comfort performing repetitive tasks
