Job description

Job Summary:
This position is responsible operating CNC, Laser, Drills and various other machines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Machine parts as necessary to meet production standards.
  • Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges and other tools.
  • Perform source inspection using traveling check sheet on every unit
  • Perform daily TPM
  • Uses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns
  • Performs daily duties per work instructions / standard work
  • Completes all daily data collection as established
  • Must perform daily 5S activities

Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Must have good understanding of inventory control
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have or be able to obtain a fork truck license
  • Must recognize the importance of working in a safe manner
  • Ability to understand what constitutes quality products
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Average or above average skills in numeric and visual recall
  • Must be computer literate

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED

Experience Requirements
  • Machining experience is preferred

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures
