We're seeking CNC Machine Operators to join our dynamic team in Aiken, South Carolina. As a CNC Machine Operator, you'll play a critical role in driving excellence in manufacturing, leveraging your expertise to produce high-quality parts while meeting key performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC equipment with precision and accuracy, ensuring seamless execution of machining, fabricating, and processing tasks.
  • Set machine controls, load tools, fixtures, and programs, and expertly troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve department and plant goals for cost, quality, delivery, safety, and performance.
  • Utilize hand tools, ratchets, air tools, and other devices to secure parts and fixtures with precision.
  • Machine parts to exacting blueprint specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure parts meet stringent specifications.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to optimize processes and prevent errors.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, such as hoists, pallet jacks, and forklifts, to transport parts, materials, and fixtures.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork for work orders, labor and time reporting, and quality records.

Required Skills and Education
  • A current student or graduate of Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM)
  • A minimum of 0-1 years CNC machine controlled equipment experience in a metal cutting/metal working manufacturing environment.
  • Able to apply shop math, read and interpret blueprints and calculate dimensions.
  • Able to use gauges and measuring tools to determine the quality of a part.
  • Able to reach up to 50 inches, lift 30 pounds, and apply 30 pounds of torque to ratchets to load and unload parts on machine.
  • Able to understand work orders, machine controls and settings, fixtures and tool requirements and make adjustments as needed.
  • Able to understand safety policies, procedures and machine features.
  • Able to operate hoist, pallet jack, or forklift. Operation of forklift requires passing a certification test and the ability to step up 14 inches onto the forklift.
  • Good analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communications skills.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
