Our mission is to deliver performant systems, high design polish, and data-driven growth experiences that engage the next generation of fans.

The Role

We're hiring a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to join the Growth Engineering team, focused on driving user acquisition, engagement, and retention across Topps, Fanatics Live, and Fanatics Collect.

This role sits at the intersection of product experimentation, analytics, and mobile platform engineering. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of analytics data within our iOS and Android applications, while building and iterating on growth-focused features that directly impact the mobile user experience.

You'll work closely with product, data, and marketing teams to design, implement, and scale experimentation frameworks and growth initiatives across mobile platforms. This role reports to the Director of Engineering, Topps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain native and/or cross-platform mobile features that drive user growth, engagement, and conversion across Topps, Fanatics Live, and Fanatics Collect.
  • Ensure analytics data integrity and consistency across iOS and Android, including event instrumentation, tracking validation, and attribution.
  • Design and implement mobile experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, feature flags, remote config) to support rapid iteration.
  • Partner with product, data science, and marketing teams to translate growth hypotheses into impactful mobile features.
  • Optimize mobile user experiences for performance, usability, and measurable impact on growth metrics (activation, retention, conversion).
  • Identify and resolve gaps in mobile analytics tracking and reporting, ensuring accurate insights for decision-making.
  • Contribute to shared services and APIs that power cross-platform growth initiatives.
  • Continuously improve mobile engineering practices, including release processes, observability, and developer tooling.
Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of experience building and shipping production mobile applications.
  • Strong proficiency in both iOS and Android development (e.g., Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java), or deep expertise in one with demonstrated ability to contribute to the other.
  • Experience implementing mobile analytics and tracking systems (e.g., event instrumentation, attribution, deep linking).
  • Familiarity with mobile experimentation tools, feature flagging, and remote configuration systems.
  • Experience building data-driven mobile features with measurable business impact.
  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, API integration, and performance optimization.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product, analytics, and marketing teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering incremental value.
Preferred
  • Experience working on growth engineering or product growth teams in a mobile-first environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Segment, Amplitude, Firebase, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native) alongside native development.
  • Strong understanding of app store ecosystems, release cycles, and experimentation constraints on mobile.
  • Exposure to consumer-facing apps with high scale and experimentation velocity.
  • Interest in collectibles, live commerce, or fan engagement platforms.
