Job description

American Welding & Gas Inc, has an immediate opening for a Material Handlerย  at our facility in Indianapolis, IN!
This position is responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products for customers and internal branches on a daily basis, while ensuring accurate tracking of materials as they enter and exit the facility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Transfer cylinders and cylinder bundles onto pallets for storage or delivery.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
  • Load and unload cylinder transfers onto trucks and trailers, following provided load lists.
  • Organize and manage full and empty assets on-site to ensure optimal storage and access.
  • Perform extensive outdoor work in various weather conditions, handling materials as required.
  • Utilize mobile phone-based equipment to accurately track the movement of assets into and out of the facility.
  • Other duties assigned.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Able to read and write English.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Technical skills.
  • Computer skills.
