Position Title: Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Carlinville Area Hospital – Carlinville, Illinois

Position Overview

Serve patients in moments that matter and be a part of the future of health care. SCP Health, a physician-founded and physician-led organization, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join the Emergency Department at Carlinville Area Hospital, a community-focused acute care facility located in Carlinville, Illinois.

This opportunity offers a moderate-volume Emergency Department, 12- or 24-hour physician shifts, and the ability to practice broad-scope emergency medicine supported by state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative hospital environment.

Clinical & Program Details

  • Patient Volume: 7,000 ED visits annually
  • Specialties: Emergency Medicine
  • Coverage Model: Physician coverage with 12- or 24-hour shifts
  • Facility Type: 25-bed Acute Care Hospital
  • Acuity: Low to moderate
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Procedures: Standard emergency medicine procedures
  • Admissions/Transfers: Coordinated as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Licensure: Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Experience: Prior Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Clinical Skills: Broad emergency medicine skill set appropriate for a community hospital setting
  • Badges: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ability to obtain)
