Job description

As Shop Supervisor, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to lead our technician team and keep our rental and service equipment running at peak performance. You will direct workflow, ensuring quality, and developing the team — while also stepping in to support the service desk with customer calls and administrative tasks as needed. If you thrive in a fast-paced shop environment and enjoy wearing more than one hat, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate and direct daily activities of all technicians, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues, providing technical expertise to your team
  • Maintain accurate service records including work orders, repair logs, and customer information
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, keeping the shop clean and safe
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements in operations, turnaround times, and work processes
  • Answer inbound customer calls and assist with service-related inquiries when the service writer is unavailable
  • Handle basic computer-based administrative tasks such as entering work orders, updating job statuses, and corresponding via email
  • Coordinate with the service desk on scheduling, customer follow-ups, and parts logistics as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
