Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during therapy sessions.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques to empower them in their healing journey.
  • Track and document client progress accurately, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated care tailored to client needs.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to enhance clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your main focus will be on individuals dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. You will work alongside diverse groups of patients, from children to adults facing various life challenges, including trauma, homelessness, and domestic abuse. This role is pivotal in helping clients navigate their mental health challenges and fostering resilience.

Qualifications
  • Active and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Nevada.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients using strong communication and interpersonal skills.
