Job description

Position Summary:
As an Electrician Helper at Starr Electric, you will be responsible for assisting electricians in the installation, repair, replacement and maintenance of electrical systems, appliances, and equipment. by performing tasks under the direct supervision of an electrician, Foreman, Leadman or Superintendent.
Job Responsibilities:
• Material handling
• Tool maintenance and upkeep
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Wire pulling
• Conduit installation
• Hand digging and trenching
• Follows instructions given by supervisor(s)
• Willingness to learn (proactive)
Position Qualifications:
• Transportation to/from job sites
• Start and proceed with the process of learning the electrical trade
• Learn and retain specific job duties that are taught by those with more experience in the trade
• Hand Tools (as described in hire packet)
• Able to positively identify colors of wires.
• Practices and comprehends safe work procedures per company policy.
• Ability to work well with others
• Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude
• Be dependable and prompt when scheduled to work
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Previous electrical experience preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to take measurements.
• Basic blueprint comprehension preferred
• Basic knowledge of code preferred
