Job Description

Tool and Die Cutter|Raleigh| HIRING IMMEDIATELY 

Available shift:

Rotating 12 hour shift 7am-7pm/7pm-7am (one week off a month)

Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts on a 7 day a week schedule

Incentives:

  • Pay: Starting $29.44-$35.74 an hour

The Rotary Die Cutter position is designed to aid the Printing Department with troubleshooting and maintaining existing rotary die cutters within the gable top carton industry.

Experience in cutting and scoring in the paper industry is preferred.

  • Provide, mechanical and technical support to the production departments to achieve their production and quality KPI's and minimize production downtime.
  • Ability to read blueprints, use various types of measuring devices, to achieve a quality part for production.
  • Preventative Maintenance of rotary die cutter.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems reported by production lines
  • Emergency repairs of production dies.
  • Work within the Tool and Die management system to record daily activities.
  • Organize and complete scheduled PM's, manufacturing projects that are assigned.
  • Utilize trouble shooting techniques/root cause analysis to determine the corrective action on problem/issues with rotary die cutters and associated equipment.
  • Train others in the department as necessary to ensure mission of maximized support to maintain production capability.
  • Maintain a safe working environment on and off the production lines.

Minimum standard requirements -

  • Must make an acceptable score on the Ramsey Mechanical testing module
  • Past experience in a mechanical field, preferably tool and die making or journeyman machinist (minimum 3 years experience)
  • Must have have an aptitude for mathematics, read blueprints, and do precise handwork using measuring precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers
  • Ability to define critical steps and deliver finished product
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain accurate spare tooling inventory
  • Must pass background and drug screening
