We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.
Job Summary
Southern Industrial Constructors INC. is seeking a Tool & Equipment Manager to work at a jobsite located in De SOto, KS.
This person supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the everyday activities of the equipment and tool room warehouse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assign technicians equipment for daily repairs.
  • Sub out equipment for specialized repairs.
  • Price parts when ordering equipment replacement parts.
  • Keep maintenance shop stocked with equipment supplies.
  • Responsible for weekend emergency vehicle road and mechanical service.
  • Track and maintain all auto and pickup NCDMV issues (titles, tags, citations, fines and taxes).
  • Track and maintain all NCDOT and IRP issues (permits, IFTA, registrations and taxes).
  • Assist in new vehicle purchases.
  • Enter new equipment into Timberline and assign numbers to track through the master equipment audit (such as assigned personal).
  • Supply all Raleigh jobs with tools and equipment (internal and rental), as well as dealing with equipment and supply issues at the Wilmington and Columbia
  • Check vendor pricing daily on job supplies and consumables.
  • Maintain inventory in the supply warehouse.
  • Assist accounting with vendor invoices.
  • Contact LTL service for outside delivery and pickup service of equipment to and from jobsites.
  • Oversee building and grounds.
  • Add and delete personal vehicles and check transactions to the Wright-Express fuel service.
  • Track all internal billable equipment and change jobs as required, rolling stock excluded.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Work Environment
Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces. Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, and working in awkward body positions.
