Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Cayuga Addiction and Recovery Services

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) at Cayuga Health System are an integral part of the collaborative interdisciplinary team devoted to the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate care to the Tompkins County community. LPNs are able to practice at their full scope of practice, and have the opportunity to engage in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and services with the goal of improving patient outcomes, and execute an optimal plan of care in a shared governance environment.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care within the LPN scope of practice

  • Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of patient care plans

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal clinical outcomes

  • Accurately document patient care and clinical observations in accordance with regulatory standards

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety practices


Required Skills and Experience:

  • License: Active New York Nursing license, out of state nurses are still eligible to apply
  • Minimum education: completion of an accredited LPN program
  • Certifications: BLS (new hires have the opportunity to obtain these certifications during introductory period)

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Location: CARS Residential Campus- 6621 NYS Route 227, Trumansburg, NY 14886
  • Shift: Days 7am - 3pm; Evenings 3pm - 11pm; rotating days/evenings and every other weekend
  • Travel- 0% Travel can be expected in this role

Physical:

  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

Pay Range Disclosure:

  • Standard rate of $25.15 - $36.00 per hour
