Introduction

EdgeCortix is seeking a Director of Product Marketing to define and lead the company's global product marketing strategy at a pivotal stage of growth.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping EdgeCortix's market positioning, translating deep technical innovation into compelling business narratives, and driving go-to-market execution across products, partners, industries, and regions.

The Director of Product Marketing will work closely with executive leadership, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing Communications to establish EdgeCortix as a category leader in next-generation AI infrastructure, from the edge to the cloud.

The ideal candidate will bring a rare combination of technical depth, strategic thinking, and market-facing leadership, with the ability to influence at the executive level while driving execution across a global organization.

About Edgecortix

At Edgecortix we are a deep-tech startup revolutionizing edge computing with artificial intelligence and novel high efficiency silicon on chip design. Originating from multiple years of research, our unique AI hardware & software co-design principle and the Dynamic Neural Accelerator AI processor IP are geared towards positively disrupting the rapidly growing artificial intelligence edge hardware space and bring the power of AI and machine learning to all kinds of devices. Our operations are headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with offices in Singapore, Virginia, and California in the US.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and own the company's global product marketing vision, strategy, and execution.
  • Shape EdgeCortix's category positioning across edge AI, Generative AI, and emerging Agentic AI systems.
  • Serve as a key member of the commercial leadership team, advising on market strategy, product direction, partnerships, and growth priorities.
  • Establish and evolve the company's messaging architecture, corporate narrative, and product positioning.

Go-to-Market and Growth

  • Lead the global go-to-market strategy for current and future semiconductor and software platforms.
  • Drive product launches, market-entry strategies, and expansion into new industries and geographies.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development to accelerate pipeline growth and support revenue generation.
  • Develop scalable partner and ecosystem messaging to support strategic alliances.
  • Own the development and lifecycle of product marketing materials, including datasheets, solution briefs, presentations, demonstrations, and digital assets that clearly communicate product value to customers and partners.
  • Define and lead the creation of technical and commercial documentation, including user guides, deployment frameworks, reference architectures, and enablement materials that support customer and partner adoption.

Market Intelligence and Positioning

  • Lead competitive intelligence, market segmentation, and customer-insight initiatives.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, translating real-world business and technical requirements into product and messaging strategies.
  • Define and communicate clear differentiation in a highly competitive AI semiconductor market.
  • Lead the company's analyst-relations strategy and strengthen EdgeCortix's positioning in key industry reports and market narratives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to help influence product-roadmap priorities and market requirements.
  • Align Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Product teams around a unified market strategy and execution plan.
  • Build and scale a global product marketing function while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning EdgeCortix's global operations in Japan, the United States, and India.

Executive Communication and Thought Leadership

  • Develop and deliver executive-level messaging, presentations, and narratives for customers, partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent EdgeCortix externally as a thought leader at industry events and in media and analyst engagements.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and differentiated market stories.

Desired Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree, including an MSEE, MSCS, or MBA, strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in the semiconductor, AI, cloud, or related deep-technology industries.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Product Marketing or a closely related function.
  • Proven track record of defining category positioning and scaling global go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong technical foundation across hardware, software, and AI/ML systems.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers, OEMs, distributors, and ecosystem partners.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership and global team management.

Preferred Experience

  • Direct experience in AI/ML, edge computing, or data-center infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with NPUs, GPUs, ASICs, and FPGA-based systems.
  • Experience with developer ecosystems, compilers, or AI software stacks.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup or scaling technology organization.
  • Multi-lingual plus: English and Japanese.

What We Are Looking For

  • A strategic thinker with a founder's mindset and a strong bias for action.
  • The ability to move seamlessly between long-term vision and hands-on execution.
  • The ability to take direction while operating independently across the organization.
  • A strong communicator who can influence executive and technical audiences.
  • Deep curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies and market dynamics.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.

What's in It for You

  • The opportunity to shape the category narrative for next-generation AI infrastructure.
  • The chance to join a company at the forefront of Generative and Agentic AI at the edge.
  • The opportunity to work alongside a world-class global team across engineering, research, product, and business.
  • A critical role in scaling a high-growth deep-technology company.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary, benefits, and equity participation.
  • Flexible work environment.
  • Remote-work options.
