Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable individual to join our team to lead our accounting services department. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accounting assistance to the firm's small business clients including preparing monthly financial statements, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, monthly sales tax returns, and other accounting services.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding various accounting software applications including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and various Microsoft applications.  MUST live in Memphis, TN and have at least 3-5 years of experience with the job details provided. 

Responsibilities 
  • Enter financial data and transactions
  • Prepare financial reports and statements
  • Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare monthly sales tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly/annual payroll tax returns
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (Preferred, not required)
  • Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
